St. John

St John, located approximately just two miles east of St. Thomas, is a true hidden gem

St. John is considered the “crown jewel” of the US Virgin Islands and is comprised mostly of National Park land. An additional 13,000 submerged acres were added as “Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument." St. Thomas and St. Croix each have over 50,000 citizens. St. John is home to less than 5,000 residents; this difference alone makes it a peaceful island with the feel of a village.

You can reach St. John by ferry or private boat. With its pristine beaches, beautiful architecture, incredible cuisine and miles of undeveloped shoreline, St. John is an amazing place.

The Virgin Islands National Park is among the prettiest of US National Parks. The ‘park’ includes over 60% of the island of St. John with hiking trails, plantation ruins, petroglyphs, beaches, and campgrounds. Thousands of acres of the park are protected waters surrounding St. John. It is the most welcoming aura of all four of the Virgin Islands and is truly a magical destination.

On the west side of the island is Mongoose Junction with an incredible collection of shops and restaurants located in a unique and tropical setting and it just steps away from Cruz Bay ferry terminal, it is definitely a must see.

Wharfside Village is a must see as well. Located along the waters of Cruz Bay, its restaurants, bars, galleries and water sport centers are closely connected under a canopy of the sea grape trees along the waters of Cruz Bay. Under terra cotta tiles and Wharfside walkways your tropical experience here will long be remembered.
