Spending time in the Virgin Islands is great in the midst of winters colder months, but it is wonderful in the summer months as well. Weather you live here or just like to visit, there are so many things to enjoy during the summer. Although June - November is also our hurricane season there are few days that are lost to tropical storms. That means that the rest of the time the weather is sunny and warm.

If you are a sailor you may notice the trade winds shift slightly from East North East to East South East. That means the sailing is still great and there is less boating traffic. Prefer the beach to boating? In the summer months far less cruise ships call on our ports because most relocate to the Mediteranian or Alaska for the summer months. This means that are famouse white sand beaches have far less people. Some of the beaches you may even have all to yourself. There are a few beaches off the "beaten path" where locals and transplants love to camp. Prices are more attractive for some things.

Prices for some things can be more attractive. You might notice hotels and some vendors may have more lower rates and prices. The off season price is always lower due to less vistors. There is no lack of entertainment either. St. John hosts its annual Carnival celebration in the beginning of July. There is also live music at various venues and resteraunts through all twelve months. To see whats going on this summer in the USVI Click Here. Now what are you waiting for?
