19-July-2006: The Preserve at Botany Bay was approved by the Coastal Zone Management Division
It is with great excitement that we present to you The Preserve at Botany Bay. On July 25th, 2006, the Coastal Zone Management Division of the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources approved the development of The Preserve at Botany Bay. Having been an undeveloped private estate for over 80 years, Botany Bay is now available to the public for the first time ever; and the Timbers Company, in joint venture with SV Capital of Denver, is now offering The Preserve at Botany Bay, as its newest boutique resort and first in the Caribbean.
The Preserve at Botany Bay is a private, gated enclave comprised of 367 acres of lush, tropical forest that encompasses the entire western tip of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Surrounded on three sides by clear blue waters, the property gently slopes down to two secluded beach coves that peacefully exist at the confluence of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. This creates a stunning backdrop from which 41 Estate Lots have been delicately crafted. With commanding views of the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, this is an opportunity to own a piece of Botany Bay’s initial offering, one of 41 generously sized private Estate Lots. Experience Botany Bay, where white-tailed deer, rare parrots and whales are your closest neighbor.
In addition to the Estate Lots, The Villas at Botany Bay will soon be released through their initial offering. Do not miss this opportunity to explore Botany Bay at its ground level.
Private Residence Club
The planned Residences at Botany Bay will feature four-bedroom residences with approximately 3600 square feet of luxurious living space. Each of the spacious and exquisitely furnished villas will overlook sparkling turquoise waters and a dazzling white sand beach. In addition, each residence will have its own private splash pool. The Residences at Botany Bay are being designed and are subject to approval.
Boutique Hotel
At the heart of Botany Bay will be the planned intimate and secluded boutique hotel composed of nine graceful buildings and featuring 48 spacious one-bedroom suites and 18 two-bedroom suites created to reflect the relaxed Caribbean lifestyle. All the suites will be nestled into the hillside with dramatic views of the ocean and easy access to all amenities and beaches. The hotel will feature fine and casual restaurants that open to terraces, boutique spa, and exceptional levels of personalized service.
Five Star Amenities
All guests at The Preserve at Botany Bay will enjoy a wealth of luxury services and amenities. The Beach Club will be a natural place for guests to gather and relax around the service-oriented infinity-edge pool tucked against the water’s edge of Botany Bay or the neighboring lap pool. The waterfront spa will offer a wide variety of pampering, restorative and wellness treatments and fitness conditioning. An oceanfront fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment and a Pilates and Yoga room will also be available to guests and owners, as well as a concierge to attend to reservations for charters, dining and unique island experiences.
Dining options will include a fine dining restaurant situated on an elevated point between the Botany Bay and Sandy Bay coves, providing one of the resort’s most memorable sights. The unmatched dining experience on the open patio will showcase the property’s most dramatic and spectacular view. The property will also offer a casual restaurant at The Beach Club.
There is biking, hiking, diving and snorkeling and guided day trips – everything to make life in this tropical idyll a vision of paradise, perfected.
